Job Title: Receptionist/Office Assistant
Salary Grade/Salary Range: DOE/TBD
Position Summary
Under general supervision, in accordance with established policies and procedures, performs a variety of receptionist, secretarial and clerical duties. Working as a team with other loan assistants, assist lending officer to gather information required for loan applications. Extensive contact with customers and the public both in person and on the phone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answers incoming phone calls (multiple lines), resolves customer inquiries within prescribed authority, and when necessary directing calls to the loan officer
- Serves as primary receptionist for loan officer
- Schedules appointments for loan officer
- Prepares/composes written correspondence and memos as requested
- Obtains information related to the consumer loan origination process including: ordering appraisals, credit reports, preliminary title reports, insurance information, and various other items
- Completes clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, faxing documents, scanning, organizing files and maintaining supplies
- Assist with property management and managing rental units. Some cash handling involved
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

- Ability to provide courteous knowledgeable and professional customer service both in person and on the phone
- Ability to perform a wide range of administrative and secretarial duties
- Knowledge of general banking policies/ procedures (preferred but not required)
- Strong advanced skills operating a personal computer including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and navigating the internet
- Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, exercise good judgement and make and act upon decisions with minimal supervision.
Experience Requirements
Knowledge typically gained through a minimum of one year progressively responsible experience in a high demand, multi-tasked professional administrative or secretarial position.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to write routine correspondence and communicate effectively and tactfully, orally and in writing with fellow employees, customers, vendors and management. Bilingual Required (Spanish and English.)
